COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Shenandoah University wrestling team competed in the Will Abele Invitational hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday, their final invitational of the season. The Hornets finished in 9th place as a team with 59.5 points and placed two wrestlers on the podium. At 149 pounds, Hunter Ballantine finished in 3rd place, winning his first two matches by fall. Ballantine went on to win by decision in the next round before falling by tech fall in the semifinals. Ballantine bounced back in the third place match and picked up his third victory by fall. At 141 pounds, Sean Rinebolt won his first three matches en route to a 4th place finish on the day. Rinebolt first won by major decision in his opening bout, picked up a victory by fall in the second round, and a decision in the quarterfinals. Rinebolt then fell by tech fall in the semifinals and lost a close 10-9 decision in the 3rd place match to take home a 4th place victory.
