WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University baseball team returned home to start a weekend series with Guilford College. The Hornets (18-9, 9-4) fell to the Quakers 9-5 after taking a 1-0 lead in the third. Guilford responded by scoring runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to take an 8-4 lead. The Hornets got one back in the seventh, but the Quakers added an insurance run to secure the 9-5 victory.
